The Mua Cave
The Mua Cave is to be found in Tam Coc the sensational Halong Bay on Land in the north of Vietnam. Siem places in Vietnam have nicknames that seem more than a little hard to explain, but Tam Coc is not one of these. The towering limestone Karst formations provide more than a passing resemblance to the scenic beauty of Halong Bay, the 600 square mile jewel in Vietnam’s crown off the coast of the country, 100 miles from Hanoi.
The name Mua Cave means dancing cave and one can only assume that is a reference to dancing for joy upon seeing the view, which is sensational. The dave itself is nothing special but it is well worth the 500 step climb when you reap the rewards. This is one of the best views in the country.
From the cave engrave you can see see right down the whole of Tam Coc to the city of Ninh Binh in the distance. The rice paddies and green valleys are all laid out before like a carpet. You make you journey here along the Ngo Dong River, taking in the stunning views as you go. After climbing up the steps to the cave you can look back as from whence you came.
